Hello, all. I'm a student myself, but I'm a grad student at Oklahoma University. The reason I write is to get some views on Elkins, Randolph County, etc.

My family and I are planning to move as soon as I finish my degree. Elkins looks very nice. Of course, I have to actually find a job there (I'm a librarian).

Any thoughts or advice on relocating there? Impressions? We just want out of Oklahoma to a place with a little less summer heat and a little more winter snow. We like smallish towns though we like to be near bigger cities too. We want trees and hills and some elevation. Okie-land is as flat as it gets.

Overall does it seem like a growing community? I also like to make music and perform. Any nightspots there for older music?
